Closing thoughts
The FAMAS is the Counter-Terrorist budget rifle option. It gives you everything you would expect from a rifle but does not excel at any of it.
In practice, players also tend to perform poorly with it unless they are experienced as its recoil pattern is trickier than many other weapons.
The FAMAS does have a more burst mode which will fire 3 rounds in succession. This mode is more accurate, but the gaps between bursts reduces the overall rate of fire significantly which results in reduced damage per second and less flexibility.
The Negev has clearly been designed with a specific thing in mind - suppressive fire. When firing, it will stabilise into an extremely accurate "beam" of bullets, allowing an angle to be cut off from approach. At $1700, with a 150 round capacity and crazy rate of fire, it fills this purpose well. Sadly, it also suffers from a heavy movement penalty of 40%.
