Closing thoughts
The AWP is one of the most iconic weapons in Counter-Strike. It is capable of killing an opponent in one shot through armour anywhere on the body (except the legs). As a bolt-action sniper rifle it is important the player is able to hit their shots consistently, especially as it can only fire 5 rounds before a reload is required.
The SSG 08 - also known as the "scout" - is the cheapest sniper rifle. In the right hands (those that can land shots to the head consistently) it can be a devastating weapon for its low price.
Interestingly, it also has a absurdly good jumping accuracy and a relatively low movement speed penalty of 8% (even while scoped), which allow it to be played with a more mobile style than other sniper rifles.
